For all of us here at AEC, improving our balance and harmony with the universe is something we're always working to improve. Over the years we've noticed that as soon as we seem to be getting a handle on things, something changes seemingly out of the blue bringing challenges and disruption to our life. Yay.

After more than enough times of looking in the mirror and screaming, "WTH!" we began to see a pattern. These shifts almost always aligned with either the moon phases or an astrological shift. As we began to take note of these events and adjust our spiritual growth and self-care routines around them there was a new shift, progress!

We finally began seeing the consistent growth we wanted. It felt like our spiritual journey had finally started for real. And while it was just a new beginning, it also felt like an end. The end of an old lifestyle and belief system we had been trying to shed for years.

After continuing this practice for awhile we started thinking about how we could improve it. What if we could plan a detailed breakdown of the best practices for each zodiac season on a week by week basis? So we asked our teacher, Akashic Astrologer Jeremy R. Werner, if he would be willing to give us his astrology insight and he said yes!

We loved it so much we wanted to share it with all of you in the form of monthly posts here on our blog. Here is the outlook for this Pisces season:

“Be in the world but not of it.”
The Voice of Spirit speaks
Within the stillness of the mind
Are you listening?

Within the Universe flow unseen forces and energies that coalesce into the World of Forms. The Sun in Pisces opens the doorway to this Unseen World and illuminates the path into the Great Mystery. Here, our Guide is our intuition, our Voice of Spirit, that beckons us to know ourselves outside the normal boundaries of waking life.

The glyph of Pisces depicts two fish swimming in opposite directions whose tails are linked together by a string. This describes the watery nature of Pisces and represents the bridge between two worlds – the World of Forms and the World of Spirit. So, there is a bit of paradox within Pisces. While we need our personality to navigate the mundane, material world, we also need our Spirit for direction, purpose and meaning.

Time for Change Sign With Led Light

Pisces teaches us that service through compassion transforms suffering. When we realize our interconnection with All That Is, we open to a new level of empathy and care that inspires us to help others where help is needed. Our Hearts soften as we acknowledge our own sensitivity and vulnerability, and from this place, we are more able to share the wisdom we have gained for the greatest benefit of All.

Enter the mystical world of Pisces and meet your own Spirit with this meditation:

Sit comfortably with feet on the ground and relax. Rest your hands on your lap with palms up. In your left hand, hold the stone triad of aquamarine, amethyst and clear quartz. Close your eyes and take a few, slow deep breaths. Then, in your mind’s eye, visualize a night sky filled with twinkling stars. As you gaze at the stars, their light becomes bright gold and shines out in all directions.

See how the sky becomes a field of bright golden light. As the light continues to become brighter, it transforms into a pure white light. Take this white light into the Crown Chakra at the top of the head and allow it to fill your entire body and the space around you.

Once you feel the flow of the white light, place your right palm on the upper chest. Visualize the white light moving through your left palm and through the stone triad. As the light flows through the stones, it activates them and brings the color of aquamarine and amethyst into your fields as flowing, liquid light.

Feel how this opens your aura and allow the light to shine outwardly into infinity. Now, ask to make contact with your own Spirit. Feel the shift as your mind enters a new dimension of yourself. Meditate within this space for as long as desired, asking for guidance, direction or insight. Explore your Spirit and see how spirituality is an expression of this Divine Presence within you.

When complete, relax your mind, place the stones to the side and lay your hands on your lap with palms down. Focus on your feet and imagine breathing in and out through the soles of your feet to strengthen your connection with the Earth. Pisces rules the feet, and as you ground, you bring the blessing of Universal Forces into your body and the Earth.

The stone triad may also be used as a stone layout for yourself or others. Lie down and place the clear quartz at the Crown Chakra above the top of your head, the amethyst on the Brow Chakra just above the middle of the eyebrows and the aquamarine on the Heart Chakra at the center of the chest. You can simply relax or lead yourself (or another) through the visualization above. Meditate or rest for 15-20 min or as desired, then slowly remove each stone in reverse order. Afterwards, be sure to connect your feet with the ground or spend time in Nature to integrate the energies.

Astro Aspects

The Moon-Mars-Uranus stellium in Taurus squares the Mercury-Venus-Jupiter-Saturn stellium in Aquarius

The Pisces ingress chart (cast for the exact time when the Sun enters the Sign of Pisces) is dominated by the square aspect. Squares signify obstacles, difficulties, frustrations, delays and problems. They also represent those lessons that we need to learn yet might resist. There is dynamic energy held within the tension of the square that is released as we wrestle with the issues. Steadfast determination and commitment are key to resolution.

Let’s take a look at these two stelliums in fixed Signs. First, we have the Moon in conjunction with Mars and Uranus in Taurus. This suggests a month of agitation, conflict and possible violence related to the financial system and our own personal values. Tensions are high, tempers are flaring and we are inclined to pick a fight rather than engage in rational behaviors. Our need for emotional security intensifies during this time of great upset and change. We may be thrown off course by the force of our reactions, so it is best to think before acting.

With Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn all in Aquarius, our minds continue to vision for a brighter future with new, functional social structures and networks. We find within ourselves greater stamina to solve the problems of our times for the greatest benefit of all involved. Mercury is still retrograde in the ingress chart, so we may experience frustration that our novel ideas are not manifesting soon enough! However, the main focus is on the development of the mind, the application of new technologies, the creation of new stabilizing groups, organizations and relationships and the administration of social responsibility.

As these two stelliums are in square, we can anticipate heated debate and conflict over what is best for the people. Different groups may collide in righteous indignation, so cooperation and diplomacy will be necessary to negotiate solutions. With Saturn squaring Uranus, there is conflict between old, traditional ways of government and social organization and new, innovative methods for social liberation and equitability. While the dismantling of the status quo is necessary for new growth, resistance is inevitable as those attached to the past deny change and the responsibility it requires of us. With the Moon square Mercury and Jupiter, our feelings and emotional needs are at odds with our thoughts and ideals. We may find ourselves dealing with inner conflicts that will lead us to greater clarity and insight about the reality in which we live. These inner conflicts may manifest as difficulties in our personal, intimate relationships as the Venus-Mars square suggests.

While this can be a challenging time, the resolution of our global problems leads to greater peace and stability for all. With Mars trining Pluto in Earth Signs, we have the drive and energy we need to manifest these changes in practical, substantial ways over time.

For additional strength, guidance, protection and support through this dynamic month, carry with you the stone triad of Red Jasper, Lepidolite and Jet. Red Jasper helps to keep you connected with the Earth and awakens your inner reserves for accomplishing your goals. Lepidolite brings a lightness of being and emotional balance while supporting

you through change. Jet is a stone of protection that transmutes harmful energies and keeps your mind on your goal. Together, these Stone Allies help to sustain you through personal challenges and global transition.

Midpoint Pictures

When a Planet is posited close to the midpoint of two other Planets, a Midpoint Picture is formed and reveals a specific pattern of energy or theme. This month we have a few Midpoint Pictures worth noting.

The Moon at the midpoint of Mars and Uranus signifies that our emotional needs may be met by taking action in new and unusual ways. We may feel impulsive, restless and volatile and may even have outbursts of heated emotions and anger. This month we may even be inclined to take unexpected risks as we move forward on our path of personal freedom and individualization.

The Moon at the midpoint of Mercury and Venus signifies that our emotional needs may be met by communicating our Hearts with friends and loved ones. We might also receive new inspiration that helps us to express ourselves through the senses and the arts. This month is a time during which we seek out greater social contact to find the peace and harmony that sustains us emotionally.

Mercury at the midpoint of the Moon and Uranus signifies that through our thoughts and communications we seek to express our emotional needs in unique and non-traditional ways. We strive for the independence of our minds and may detach from our emotions. We may become volatile and reactive due to an inner excitement, nervousness or instability. This month, be clear and mindful in all communications and keep your feet on the ground.

hematite stone

To help balance the mind, sit in meditation with a hematite in your left hand and a celestite in your right hand. Close your eyes and take a few slow, deep breaths.

celestite tumbled stone

Now, become aware of your Heart Center. Feel its warmth and quality. With each breath, invite your Heart Center to open more and more and feel the expansiveness there. Then, ask to see and experience the light of your own Heart. Allow its color, quality and frequency to shine through your body into the space around you. Feel yourself being embraced and held by your own Heart Light. As you meditate, feel how the stones and your Heart Light create a field of energy that brings balance to your mind. Meditate for as long as desired. When complete, hold gratitude in your Heart and gently open your eyes.
